SYSTEM OF SUSTAINABLE MANAGEMENT OF ARTISANAL FISHERIES

GAAL is a complete system for a sustainable management of artisanal fisheries : a VMS beacon, a fisheries monitoring platform, mobile applications.

GAAL meets the needs expressed by the actors and authorities of artisanal fisheries. GAAL is the result of an inclusive process of identifying functional needs with the entire small scale fisheries ecosystem in West Africa. GAAL is developped by the French company AGUILA which collaborates with the PRCM on issues of fisheries resource conservation.

Since 2017, AGUILA has been working with authorities and artisanal fisheries stakeholders in Africa to provide answers to the safety of fishermen at sea and the preservation of the fisheries resource.
